Don’t Risk It…Let’s Figure It Out

Soaring healthcare costs can and will effect choices people make regarding their personal finances. Many times, as the article further supports, young and healthy adults tend to discard the healthcare option due to the “it can’t happen to me” mindset. A proactive approach for more preventative medicine, investing in parks, hiking trails, and more active lifestyles will help alleviate health costs long term for young adults.

Yet we still run the risk of accidents, and re-organizing our healthcare industry to provide better quality care while managing costs will be imperative in the short term. Universal coverage is a key component to an aggressive strategy to turn our health care system around. We need to cover everyone and make the moral decision understanding it is the right thing to do. And people need to be able to see the value of participating in a health plan focusing on all the right catalysts to stabilize costs.
