The Miner County Community Revitalization project in Howard, SD has shown that a grassroots effort at community building can work.
I have followed MCCR for a while now, reading their material because I find their story and their successes quite fascinating. Because of their efforts, the community of Howard has held off community decline, and has actually begun to grow again for the first time in many years.
I am excited to see they are receiving this grant…their work has been very beneficial, and continues the progression the community of Howard, Miner County, and South Dakota.
