I cannot stress this enough. Books are very important, no matter how much technology takes over our lives. Reading text on a page, analyzing the facts, thinking about the message, and putting all together in our minds is not only good for our brains, but its necessary in a ‘knowledge economy.’
I would like to mention also that with the advent of summer, and our children returning home from schools for three months, we take time to include educational activities in their daily repertoire of summertime activities.
